The ‘Markle Sparkle’ Effect, Most Iconic Fashion Moments & Waitlists
It is no secret that the world’s eyes are the new mother, Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
Since becoming a royal, Meghan’s influence has reached new heights. As she travels with her husband, Harry, they use their influential position and status for good. As they ‘serve as a royal patron to nonprofit organizations, and appear at public and private sector events that recognized the efforts and successes of people around the globe.’ Source: Elle Magazine.
With endless commentary on her every move, it is no shock that people pay close attention to her fashion choices. So much so, that anything she wears has a ‘Markle Sparkle’ effect, aka everything she is seen wearing immediately sells out.
The global fashion search platform Lyst reports that, on average, whenever Markle wears something, the brand will see a 200 percent increase in search demand over the following week. The site ranks her as the third top celebrity fashion influencer of 2018, behind Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian (and ahead of Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Blake Lively). Source: Glamour.

How does the ‘Markle Sparkle’ Effect work?
This is the most mega example of influencer marketing out there right now. It has us at Vitamin C wondering how this all goes down?
How do brands approach her? Does she get paid to get photographed in outfits? How organic is her shopping process? Who styles her and places certain brands in front of her?
All of these questions shall be answered at a later date in an investigative piece yet to come!
In the meantime, we’ll applaud Meghan for handing all of this attention with such poise. Her effortless and classic style is worthy of imitating. Her ever-present smile is the cherry on top! Bravo, Meghan.
