Perfect Bar’s Perfect Influencer Marketing Strategy

Perfect Bar’s perfect influencer marketing strategy is taking over social media one mention & giveaway at a time.

Perfect Bar’s beginnings

A quick background of this family company founded in 2005. Bud, the father, developed Perfect Snacks out of a love for optimal health, fitness, and nutrition. Since then his 13 children have taken over the business, they are now in 27,000 retail stores nationwide with the likes of Target & Trader Joe’s carrying their product.

The ingredient list is clean, and this healthy option is the real deal in a world where everything is labeled “natural.” Their integrity in their product has gotten them to where they are, and now we are impressed with the way they are showing up on social media.

A great tasting product, high quality, and an integrity-filled family brand are all a recipe for success. But, putting all of them together with a strategic budget for influencer marketing is taking them to the next level.

Perfect Bar’s social media success

181,000 followers, 22.9 hashtag mentions, and $180 million in sales in 2018.

It seems like they are everywhere on social media and we did a little digging into their strategy to find out why…

1. Diversified Portfolio

Perfect Bar is picking influencers with different types of influence in different verticals. They are creating relationships with micro & macro influencers. They are also connecting with people in fashion, lifestyle, fitness, and the health and wellness space, they are spreading out their reach by strategically connecting with people that have different audiences. This allows them to expand in a big way and be pervasive in the social space like you can’t miss them!

2. Budget for Spread

Perfect Bar has had a lot of sponsored posts, which means they are allocating a significant portion of their marketing budget to influencer marketing. They also choose people who seem to genuinely love the brand and product, so we think these are genuine ads and ad dollars well spent.

3. Longterm Partnerships

They are engaging with influencers for an extended amount of time. This is something that Vitamin C stands for and there is a slow switch happening. No more one-off posts, but long-term partnerships with maximum interaction and exposure with the partners’ audiences. For example, Jessie De Lowe is currently working with them for the next 12-months!

4. The “Instagrammable” Shot

The “Instagrammable” Shot: Even beyond the #ads or partnership posts, there are a lot of Perfect Bar shots on social! Their user-generated content seems to be a trend, especially the seasonal pumpkin bars for fall! It’s become a thing that you mention when you have a Perfect Bar, especially if you snagged a limited-edition flavor. And, people see their favorite content creator doing the same thing, so they follow suit!

All of these efforts have allowed them to win on social media. We love when people with a great product have great marketing.

This brand is a perfect example of the social media synergy we believe influencer marketing should create. Brands with integrity partnering with passionate influential people and connecting with engaged audiences. It’s a win, win, win!

The Perfect Bar’s perfect influencer marketing strategy is #VitaminCapproved and we’re excited to keep tabs on their next moves!
